High Power Rifle Shoot Rules
(AKA Military Rifle Shoot Rules)
Rules:
NRA High Power Rules apply.
Gun:
Any safe U.S. or foreign centerfire service rifle with metallic sights and a magazine capable of holding not less than five rounds may be used.
Equipment:
A sling may be used in all positions except standing (offhand).
Telescopic sights, hook butt plates, and palm rests are not permitted.
Ammunition:
Any ammunition except tracer and incendiary ammunition is permitted.
Course of Fire:
Two stages consisting of 10 rounds fired from the offhand position and then 10 rounds fired from any unsupported position of choice.
Two courses of fire will be shot with a total of 40 rounds of ammunition being required. All courses will be slow fire and shot at the100 yard distance.
Overview:
The shoot will be held on the second Sunday of the month.
Start time is 10:00am and will go until all shooters have completed the course of fire.
The cost is $2.00.
